Donors

A contract drafted by an attorney well-versed and knowledgeable in the field of ART law is key to protecting each party’s legal interests regarding ownership of the donated genetic material.

Depending on who she represents, Patricia will draft a donation contract for the intended parents or review a donation contract on behalf of the donor. Once a donation contract is signed by all parties to the agreement, a legal clearance letter will be sent to the fertility clinic to notify the clinic that an enforceable legal contract has been executed.

The donor agreement will determine that the intended parents have all parental rights to a child conceived with donated genetic material, and release the donor from all parental rights and responsibilities to a child born from donated genetic material.
